Youth Round-Up: Week 5

First action of October for our Youth sides with 13 teams in action. We start our round up with one of the teams carrying a 100% record into the second month, the Under 16 Boys who were looking to make it 5 wins from 5. It was a close fought encounter with the Bucks thankful to Ruudi Bates for a great double save in the first half to keep them in it. The second half the winning goal from the Bucks came from a great strike from Joe Hubbard.

Our Under 13 Girls were held to a draw against Shifnal Town, Eden Wallace with the Girls goal. It was also a draw for the Under 14 Boys as they were forced to share an 8 goal thriller away at Leek Wootton. Preston Whinnerah took his tally up to 10 for the season with a hat trick with Dylan Millington grabbing his first of the season.

Both our Under 10 and Under 15 Girls sides were in Futsal qualifier action. The Under 10s put in a number of good performances but were unable to pick up a victory on the day. Meanwhile the Under 15s gave a great account of themselves in the Under 16s tournament winning 2, drawing 1 and losing 1.

A goal from a Ryan Cumming put the Under 12 Boys ahead against Lawley Lightmoor Comets. However they were unable to hold onto the lead and suffered a first defeat of the season. It was better fortune for our Under 13 Boys who put in an impressive performance to beat West Worcester Youth 3-0. Goals from Alex Sharpe, Sam Ross and Leo Bowes made it 5 wins from 5 and 4 clean sheets in the process.

The Under 11 Girls progressed to the next round of the Charity Cup with victory over Church Stretton. They face Newport Ravens in the next round. It was Cup action too for our Under 17 Girls who despite goals from Nykeshia Reed and Kacey Davies went down to Premier League Leicester City. Meanwhile the Under 18 Girls suffered a defeat against Derby County.

Our Under 10 Boys put in a superb performance to pick up a first home win of the season against a strong Studley Juniors side. Oliver Grice, George Hollis-Terry, Aiden Bird, Jacob Quinn and James Heller all on the scoresheet. It was equally good fortune for the Under 11 Boys who kept up their unbeaten start to the season with victory over the Darren Bent Academy. Ethan Rowland, Isaac Bateson, Cole Dexter, Jacey Oliver and Tyler Roe all netting for the young Bucks.

We end our round up with the Under 15 Boys who were looking to get back to winning ways after 3 straight defeats. They hosted Coventry Sky Blues Eagles. It was a strong performance from the Bucks as they picked up the 3 points with a 5-2 victory. Hanoch Boayke and Brian Castle both picked up their 3rd goals of the season with Cody Rimmer, Jayden Williams and Dan Corfield completing the scorers.
