Wolves under-23s will join the Premier League International Cup this season with the New Bucks Head being used a venue to host two fixtures.
Last season’s Premier League 2 Division 2 champions were last week drawn against PGS, Athletic Club Bilbao and Liverpool as part of their inaugural season in European competition.
Rob Edwards’ side start their quest for European glory against PSG at Molineux on Wednesday 20th November, with kick-off at 7pm.
A week later, the under-23s face Athletic Club, before the final of the three group games on Sunday 22nd December against fellow PL2 Division 1 outfit Liverpool, with both matches due to be played at New Bucks Head, 7pm KO
The under-23s’ International Cup fixtures in full are:
20/11/19 | Paris Saint-Germain | Molineux (7pm)
27/11/19 | Athletic Club Bilbao | New Bucks Head (7pm)
22/12/19 | Liverpool | New Bucks Head (7pm)
Created by the Premier League five years ago, the competition – which was won last year by Bayern Munich – provides players in England’s Category One academies with the opportunity to match themselves against fellow elite European youth footballers in a competitive environment.
The International Cup divides 24 teams – 12 from England and 12 invited sides from across Europe – into six four-team groups, each including two European clubs and two Premier League 2 sides. Each club plays each of their group opponents once, with all matches to be played in the UK, either at the home grounds of the Premier League clubs or neutral venues.
Wolves are one of three sides making their debut in the competition this season, alongside Monaco and Blackburn Rovers.
