AFC Telford United are delighted to announce that Jason Oswell has signed a new deal at the club keeping him at the New Bucks Head for a third season.
Oswell who finished the season as the club’s top scorer scored 13 goals in the National League North for the Bucks last season.
Oswell spoke of his delight at securing a new deal at the club
“I am delighted to resign for Telford, it was a difficult season last year but the gaffer is building a strong squad and I think it’s an exciting time to be part of the club. It was a huge relief to avoid relegation last year but as we saw from the final game of the season, the Bucks Head was rocking and the club has huge potential to push forwards now. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing for the Bucks so far and I feel the club had a great respect for the role I played in helping us safely.
Having said that, I have unfinished business and I hope that my contribution to the team will make next season an enjoyable one for the fans”
Boss Paul Carden “ I’m delighted that Ossy has decided to stay, the amount of managers who have asked me what’s happening with him during last season and the closed season has been endless. When I came to the club, I could see he was desperate to do well – in training he was working as hard as he could and his attitude was exemplary and as he got playing more his confidence increased and no one was happier than me to see him get his rewards in goals and important ones at that!
We have spoke over the summer and he has his own targets for next season and I’ve set him some too! He has proven before what a good team player he is and backed it up with goals at higher levels. I’m pleased with how the squad is shaping and Keeping Os is a big signing for us”
Welcome back Ozzy!
