AFC Telford United are pleased to confirm that last season’s leading scorer, Montel Gibson, has agreed terms to remain at the club for the 2023/24 season.
Montel had two separate loan spells with the Bucks last season, arriving from Ilkeston Town in September and returning to the Derbyshire club before issues around his full-time employment were ironed out, allowing him to make the move back to Telford for the second half of the season
Montel became a free agent when his Ilkeston Town contract expired and despite plenty of interest from other clubs he has chosen to return to Shropshire, signing a one-year deal.
The confirmation of Montel’s return takes the Bucks squad up to a total of eight players in Kevin Wilkin’s summer recruitment.
