We can confirm that Manny Ilesanmi has joined Alvechurch FC on loan.
Manny’s first-team opportunities have been limited, and Kevin Wilkin feels that more playing time will help Manny.
“Players want to play, and Manny is no different. Like a lot of young men, he’s in a hurry to get to where he wants to be in his career, but unfortunately, I can only select so many players, and we’ve got a lot of options in those forward positions.”
With Matty Stenson and Adan George ahead of him currently, Kevin hopes Manny can use the opportunity with the Lye Meadow side to push his claims.
“Manny has conducted himself really well; he trains hard, and it can be a difficult place, so getting out and playing more regularly can only benefit him. We’ll keep in touch to see how he’s doing, and, obviously, the hope is that he can help Alvechurch perform well and unlock some of that potential. Things can change quickly in football, and if we needed Manny back, having him fit and with minutes under his belt would benefit us, so this works for everyone.”
Manny’s loan is an initial two-month arrangement, and he is available for their fixture against Real Bedford in the Southern League Premier Central.
We wish Manny all the best at ‘Church, where he will be working under interim manager and former Buck, Kyle Storer.
Go well, Manny!
