AFC Telford United Hospitality Manager

Be in at the beginning of this exciting new venture as AFC Telford United relaunches our West Stand Hospitality Venue, the football club having taken over ownership of this for the first time. As Hospitality Manager ensure the overall success of the venue.

Duties :

Fully contribute to the overall income, profitability and growth of the venue.

Ensure complete customer satisfaction including creating a safe enjoyable and sustainable customer experience. Minimise and immediately resolve any customer complaints.

Planning and managing the venue for matchday and non matchday events.

Run an effective booking system, maximising venue utilisation whilst ensuring no bookings clash.

Overseeing and liaising with internal and external caterers.

Keeping up to date with licensing and catering legislation, working with the authorities and taking overall legal responsibility for the premises and licence.

Ensuring Health and Safety rules are vigorously adhered to.

Ensure good partnership with the Gym operation and other partners.

Room set up ready for match day and non matchday events.

Line responsibility for the Bar Manager.

Manage internal or external cleaners and other services to the West Stand.

Liaison and teamwork with other staff including Football Operations Manager, Sales and Finance.

Skills and Experience :

Restaurant, pub and/or hospitality experience.

Outstanding customer service attributes and can do attitude.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to manage staff, suppliers and partners.

Good communication skills.

Good problem solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Hours of Work : Full time. Willingness to work hours that will include some evening work for events and match nights and Saturday matchday’s.

AFC Telford United Bar Manager.

Duties :

Responsibility for West Stand bars and the stadium bars.

Ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Regular stock takes of bar stocks.

Reconciliation of bar cash.

Achieving the target margin and target income levels for the bars.

Purchasing of supplies for the bars ensuring quality, price competitiveness and having the right stock at the right time.

Maintaining the condition of beer and other bar stock.

Supervising and ensuring completeness of deliveries of bar supplies.

Pre match and other events check of overall readiness of bars and rooms.

Recruit, train, manage, motivate and evaluate match day and non matchday bar staff paid and volunteers.

Ensure all accreditation and training in place including licensee certificate.

Skills and Experience :

Pub and hospitality experience.

Outstanding customer service attributes and can do attitude.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to manage staff, suppliers and partners.

Good communication skills.

Hours of Work : Part Time. Hours of work to be agreed. Willingness to work hours that will include some evening work for events and match nights and Saturday matchdays.
