Following a midday pitch inspection at the Zeeco Stadium, our fixture with Stamford AFC, scheduled for this evening (16th January) with a 7.45 pm kick-off, has been postponed.
Unfortunately, the freezing temperatures mean that the pitch has been declared unplayable, and despite a slightly less cold evening being forecast, it has been deemed unlikely to thaw in sufficient time.
We thank Stamford for their efforts to both get the game on, but also to save our supporters and team a wasted journey and expense.
A new date will be agreed in due course and publicised via the club’s usual media channels.
