Club Statement
In October 2020 AFC Telford United finally took ownership of the West Stand when it was incorporated for the first time into our 140 year lease and this is of huge future benefit to both the football club and the local community. As part of that we inherited the Dugout Bar which will now become the main bar at the football club on both matchdays and non matchdays. With immediate effect the Dugout Bar is being renamed ‘Win’s Bar’ and an opening ceremony date will be announced along with the club’s pre-season schedule. The new name of ‘Win’s Bar’ is in memory of Win Pryce who was Vice Chairman of AFC Telford United for 13 years, until he sadly passed away in November 2017.
Ian Dosser, Managing Director of AFC Telford United said ‘’Win Pryce was a wonderful friend and extremely effective colleague on the AFC Telford United board of directors for 13 years. Win put massive time and effort into the football club and Pryce Builders have been a sponsor of the club since 2004. AFC Telford United wouldn’t be what it is today without the time, energy and commitment that Win put into the football club. In particular Win’s dream was that one day the club would own the West Stand and to have now finally achieved this, gives us the opportunity to put a permanent memorial in place for Win by renaming the Dugout Bar as ‘’Win’s Bar’’ and this is the perfect way to remember Win’s fantastic commitment and achievements at AFC Telford United’’.
