Club Statement: Mick Jones

The club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Telford United manager Mick Jones.

Mick Jones took the club to the fourth round of the FA Cup beating Crewe and Brentford along the way before eventually losing to the finalists Millwall.

In the same season he also guided the side to the semi-finals of the FA Trophy, before financial problems led to the collapse of the club forcing him to leave in April 2004.

Our thoughts are with Mick’s family and friends at this difficult time.
