CLUB STATEMENT: COVID-19

AFC Telford United can confirm a staff member within the club began to show symptoms of COVID-19 on Monday afternoon.

Following government guidelines this individual immediately booked a test on Monday evening before returning home to isolate.

This individual came in close contact with the first team squad at Saturday’s game therefore In line with guidance from the National League medical team, and in line with league and club protocols all members of the first team squad began to self-isolate from Monday evening therefore the National League gave approval to postpone Tuesday’s game against Hereford.

Thankfully this individual received a negative result on Wednesday morning and the National League have given us permission to return to training on Thursday and return to fixtures on Saturday at Farsley Celtic
