Colours
The Bucks will be wearing our all-red away kit for Saturday’s tie, so if you’re a fan who likes to reflect the team’s colours in your choice of outfit for the day, you now know what to have laid out and ready on Saturday morning.
No Second Chances
If the Bucks are going to advance to round two, we’ll have to do it on the day, as there are no replays from the first round onward.
If scores are level at the end of the regulation ninety minutes, we will play thirty minutes of extra time in two halves of fifteen minutes each. If we remain deadlocked after that, a penalty shootout will decide who progresses to the next round.
Substitutes
Competition rules allow teams to nominate up to nine substitutes; however, teams may use only up to five substitutes in the regulation ninety minutes, and these must be made during the three available substitution opportunities (excluding the half-time interval). Should the game require extra time, any of the five unused substitutions can be made, along with an additional sixth substitution.
Remembrance
Sutton has nominated Saturday’s game as their Remembrance fixture. All spectators present will be invited to participate in a two-minute silence before kick-off to pay respect to those who lost their lives and those who continue to be affected by the consequences of armed conflict.
Cashless Stadium
If you’re travelling to Sutton, please be aware that the VBS Community Stadium is cashless; all transactions must be made by card or contactless payments.
Wheelchair Spectators
Sutton currently has spaces for 7 wheelchair users, and Sutton requests that anyone who needs to use this facility book in advance by contacting [email protected].
If any wheelchair user needs to park at the VBS Community Stadium, please let Sutton know in advance, and they will make arrangements to welcome you. Ambulant supporters should note that Sutton has no lifts to the seated areas in the stand; these areas can only be accessed by ascending a few steps.
Car Parking
On match days, the club car park in Gander Green Lane is for parking permit holders only. Away fans should park in the local municipal car park on Gibson Road. It takes no more than fifteen minutes to walk from Gibson Road to the stadium, and the route brings you in at the east end of the ground, the Collingwood Road End, which is the area reserved for away supporters.
Sutton United’s Away Fan Letter (below) contains lots of useful information for those supporters making the trip to the VBS Community Stadium. Please take the time to read this in advance of Saturday.
