"Bucks Women on the road for opening day"

Bucks Women are back in league action as they begin their season in the West Midlands Regional League North with an away trip to Darlaston Town Ladies

The summer saw Head Coach Darel Tidman-Poole step down after 3 seasons to be replaced by Chris Brown with Alex Owens remaining as assistant for another season. With the large core of the squad retained, Brown has added much needed depth to the squad with a number of new signings.

Kaitlyn Richards makes the step up from our Under 18s after an impressive pre season whilst Claudia Rudd returns to the club having previously featured for Burton Albion. The experienced Hazel Adams joins whilst Tash Hill makes the move across from Shrewsbury Town. Striker Tania Prior also signs up after a few years out of the game.

It has been a challenging pre season for the side due to injuries and availability but they will be hoping all of that is behind them now as they move into the season.

Opponents Darlaston make the step up to the West Midlands League after being rewarded for their great start to their Birmingham County League last time out which saw them promoted. The two sides have never met before but it is sure to be a close encounter and entertaining fixture for the first week of the season.
