AFC Telford United are recruiting a full time West Stand Conference, Events & Catering Operations Manager:
Role and responsibilities:
- Ensure the overall success of the venue, including a consistent first class customer experience.
- Fully contribute to the overall income, profitability and growth of the venue.
- Planning and managing the venue for matchday and non matchday events.
- Deliver exceptional food and beverage operations in West Stand and stadium bars.
- Purchasing supplies for bars ensuring quality, price competitiveness, completeness of deliveries and having the right stock at the right time.
- Liaising with suppliers, any external caterers. cleaners and other services to the West Stand.
- Regular stock takes of bar and food stocks and reconciliation of bar cash.
- Achieving the target margin levels for the bars.
- Maintaining the condition of beer and other bar stock.
- Pre match and other events, check overall readiness of bars and rooms.
- Run an effective booking system, maximising venue utilisation whilst ensuring no bookings clash.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, licensing and catering legislation, taking overall legal responsibility for the premises, accreditation and licensee certificate.
- Room set up ready for match day and non matchday events.
- Liaison and teamwork with other football club staff.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in large scale events and catering.
- Confident, approachable and proactive leader with excellent communication and people management skills.
- Outstanding customer service attributes and can do attitude.
- Highly organized and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Hours of Work: Willingness to work hours that will include some evening work for events, evening, Saturday and Sunday matchday’s. Competitive salary and benefits package.
