We are pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Sam McLintock.
Sam returns for a second spell with the Bucks, having initially signed in the summer of 2022 under Paul Carden before he departed a few months later for Boston United.
We faced Sam in opposition twice last season when he played for Peterborough Sports, his latest stop in a career that began at Coleshill Town, and has also seen him feature for Leamington, Rushall Olympic and Kettering Town, facing the Bucks in the 2025 Southern League Premier Central play-off final.
Kevin Wilkin recognises that finding the right environment for his ability to do the talking has been a challenge for Sam, but was clear that the Bucks under his management will do everything they can to help him.
“Sam's a young man, and he's a talented young man, but has probably made one or two poor decisions at times and not helped himself, but he's clearly got ability as a footballer. He’s 26 now, and he’s flitted in and around being established at this level. Again, that's something we want to try and help him with and try to bring out of him. I think if we can get to spend enough time together and work together long enough with him, there's a player there that can help take us forward.”
