Riccardo Calder

Date of birth: 26 January 1996

Biography

Date of birth: 26th January 1996.

Born in Birmingham, Riccardo is a product of the Aston Villa academy. Although earning representative honours with the England under 17 side, he was unable to break into Villa’s first-team squad, and spent time on loan away from the club at Dundee, Doncaster Rovers (twice) and Lincoln City.

Released by Villa in summer 2017, he signed a two-year deal with Scottish side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, however his contract was cancelled.  He subsequently signed for Bradford (Park Avenue) in summer 2019.

A string of impressive performances for Avenue, including a goal against the Bucks in a 3-2 win for the away side at the Horsfall Stadium in August 2019, resulted in his move to the New Buck’s Head in October 2019, on a deal for the remainder of the 2019/10 season.
