Jed Abbey

Date of birth: 14 January 2002

Residing in Telford but born in Den Haag in The Netherlands of Ghanain parentage, Jed signed for the Bucks in summer 2021.

With his family moving to Telford when Jed was aged four, the defensive midfielder cut his footballing teeth playing for Randlay Colts of Stirchley. His performances caught the eye of scouts and aged eight he signed for Wolverhempton Wanderers.

Jed progressed through the various age groups at Molineux but was released in summer 2020 during the Covid pandemic.

A move to EFL side Sunderland fell through due to a medical issue, requiring surgery on his knee. Jed spent the 2020/21 season recuperating and, seeking an opportunity to get back into the game, he appeared in a number of trial games hosted by the Bucks.

Jed impressed Gavin Cowan sufficiently to earn a deal for the 2021/22 season.

He is the brother of Jez Abbey, also at Telford.

Jed is sponsored for the 2021/22 season by Randlay Colts (home shirt).
