Hailing from Shrewsbury, attacking midfielder Elliott returned to the Bucks after a gap of 13 years where he has established himself as one of non-league’s notable talents.
Elliott began his career with the Bucks in 2007 but found his opportunities limited and spent time on loan with Rushall Olympic.
He departed for Hednesford Town in 2008 and his six-year spell with the Pitmen sparked a notable spell for club and player; after three successive play-off defeats, the Pitmen won promotion to the National League North in 2012/13.
A fourth-placed finish in the 2013/14 season saw Elliott catch the eye of Wrexham and he signed for the Welsh club in January 2014. Injury affected his time at the Racecourse Ground and after being released he signed for former Wrexham manager Andy Morrell at Tamworth.
A season at Chester FC followed, before a move to Macclesfield Town in July 2017. The club won promotion back to the EFL the following spring, Elliott contributing 35 appearances. He remained with the club and made his EFL debut the following season, but off-field issues precipitated his departure.
Elliott signed for York City in September 2019, but unable to claim a regular place he signed for Altrincham in February 2020. He added another promotion to his CV in helping the Robins with the Vanarama National League North play-offs, defeating former club York on the way.
A return to Wrexham followed in summer 2020, but Elliott was released in summer 2021 and made his return to the New Buck’s Head.
Elliott is sponsored for the 2021/22 season by Jamie Bates (home shirt).
