Remi Walker is the latest player to commit to the Bucks ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Remi will enter his third season with the club, having agreed terms to return with manager Kevin Wilkin. The 22-year-old midfielder will once again bring his combination of craft and graft to the Bucks’ engine room as we make the step up to Step 2 football in the National League North following our playoff success.
After a sensational debut campaign for the Bucks in 2023/24, one where he scored some memorable and crucial goals, Remi’s contribution in our promotion via the playoffs in 2024/25 was steadier, but no less valuable. Kevin recognised that Remi’s potential remained undimmed, despite having to make some adjustments in certain areas.
“Remi was balancing both working and playing, and that can be a challenge, as it puts more on you physically as much as anything, but he certainly showed us enough for us to want to bring him back. He’ll know there were games that he could have done better in, and whilst he didn’t have quite the impact that he did the season before, there’s plenty still to come from Remi, and we’ll work with him to find that consistency. He’s still developing his game and will be an important player for us.”
The Bucks took on a younger look towards the end of last season, and Remi’s energy in the centre of the pitch should be a huge asset, allied to his ability and composure.
It’s good to have you back with us, Remi.
Remi’s return means the Bucks squad now stands at eleven:
- Luke Rowe
- Matty Stenson
- Alex Fletcher
- Jordan Cranston
- Brandon Hall
- Jahdahn Fridye-Harper
- Oliver Cawthorne
- Jordan Piggott
- Jamie Meddows
- Charlie Williams
- Remi Walker
