With falling temperatures expected to settle below freezing for much of Saturday, we are in regular contact with Stamford AFC over the condition of the pitch at the Zeeco Stadium ahead of our scheduled fixture tomorrow (2nd December, 3 pm).
For clarification, the surface at the Zeeco Stadium is a grass pitch and not artificial, as you may have assumed from other media.
We understand that an early inspection will take place on Saturday to assess the condition of the playing surface.
We will communicate the inspection’s outcome as soon as possible via our website and social media channels.
Both clubs would wish to play the fixture tomorrow, but we both understand that the weather may have the final say in such circumstances.
