The big man is back! We are delighted to confirm that Orrin Pendley has committed to us once again and will make the 2025/26 season his third in our colours.
Orrin has experience at Step 2 from his time with Hereford FC, which is something that manager Kevin Wilkin sought when building a team capable of winning promotion from the Southern League, before aiming to progress at the level above.
Known principally for his defensive work, Orrin also has a knack for delivering in big moments. Goals in each of the Bucks’ final three games of last season helped secure playoff home advantage (vs Royston Town), before he bagged in both the playoff semi-final and final, on each occasion bringing the Bucks back to level terms and creating a platform for victory.
Orrin’s two seasons to date at the SEAH Stadium have seen him establish himself in the spine of the team and also as a fans’ favourite. He won multiple awards in his debut season, as the Bucks fell just short of bouncing straight back to Step 2 following relegation.
Having gone one better last season, the Bucks aim to thrive rather than simply survive in the National League North, and Kevin Wilkin was pleased to have Orrin back on board.
“Yeah, I’m delighted. Orrin has been a big player for us, and it’s good to be able to call upon him again. It hasn’t been plain sailing for him here. He had some difficult moments in his first season, but found an answer and showed what he’s capable of. It took a while, probably too long, if I’m honest, to find the defensive improvements we needed last season, but Orrin was part of the group that achieved that, and his level went up the more crucial the games became. He found some big moments at the other end, and it’s great to have players who can contribute in that way.”
Orrin’s confirmation means that Kevin’s squad-building now stands at twelve. With conversations continuing, our preparations for the 2025/26 season will gain momentum over the next few weeks, as players return to training, scheduled to start on July 1st.
