We are pleased to announce the signing of Ola Lawal, an attacking player who has been training with the Bucks and has accepted manager Kevin Wilkin’s offer of terms for the rest of the season.
Ola, aged 23, is a free agent with dual Irish and Nigerian citizenship and was mostly recently signed to National League North side Marine.
Having played academy football with Shelbourne and Drogheda United in Ireland, Ola signed for National League South team Chippenham Town before moving north of the border to sign for Scottish Championship side Falkirk.
Ola was loaned to Cove Rangers during his time with the Bairns and departed the Falkirk Stadium last summer, from where he headed back south to Marine.
Asked about adding Ola to his squad, Kevin said:
“He’s listed in some places as an attacking midfielder, but we see him as more as a central striker. I wouldn’t say he’s a target man, but he’s quick, and he’s come in and trained with us for a couple of weeks now. We’re at a crucial stage of the season, and we just need one or two options, as we have known for a little while, and Ola will provide some competition across the front line.”
Welcome to the Bucks, Ola!
