His goal carried us to the National League North, and now he carries on.
With pleasure, we can confirm that defender Jahdahn Fridye-Harper will remain a Buck for the 2025/26 season.
‘Jid’ joined us from Barwell FC on Valentine’s Day 2025, and our fans fell in love with him, none more so than when he scored the decisive third goal in our 4-2 playoff final victory over Kettering Town.
The 27-year-old right-back impressed Kevin Wilkin when facing the Bucks, and the manager moved to bring Jid to the club, handing him his debut at Bromsgrove Sporting in early March.
Supporters can measure Jid’s quiet impact in the fact that he has yet to experience defeat as a Bucks player, contributing to the 18-match unbeaten run that ultimately carried us to promotion.
Jid will be playing at a higher level than at any point in his career when the Bucks kick off in the National League North in August; however, Kevin feels that his defensive qualities and athleticism will enable him to take the step up in stride as the Bucks seek to do likewise.
“Jid’s a super boy to have in the group. He did really well for us over the last couple of months of the season. It wasn’t all down to Jid, but he helped to stop us conceding as many goals and established himself on the right of the defence, so I’m looking forward to working with him again and seeing how we can develop his game and how he can help ours.“
Jid becomes our sixth confirmed player on board for the coming season, along with Luke Rowe, Matty Stenson, Alex Fletcher, Jordan Cranston and Brandon Hall.
We are finalising further deals, so expect more announcements soon as Kevin Wilkin continues to build his squad towards the big kick-off on 9th August.
Welcome back, Jid!
