We are excited to announce Alex Fletcher as our first new signing ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Midfielder Alex joins us having spent last season at National League side Tamworth, whom he joined ahead of their return to Step 1 in summer 2024.
Alex caught the attention of Lambs’ boss Andy Peaks as a key component of the Rushall Olympic side that earned promotion to Step 2. He spent part of last season on loan back to the Pics as they fought to remain in the National League North.
Aged 28, Alex possesses the kind of experience to augment Kevin Wilkin’s squad. A central midfielder, Alex began his football career with Shrewsbury Town and had a spell with the Bucks following his release from our Shropshire neighbours.
With opportunities limited, Alex joined Newtown AFC, then of the Welsh Premier League, before moving on to Stourbridge and then Stafford Rangers.
A move to Rushall saw Alex gain promotion before helping them to consolidate in their first season at Step 2. His consistent displays earned him recognition as a winner of multiple awards at the Pics end-of-season presentations, and the opportunity to move across Staffordshire to The Lamb.
Alex is a player who has previously interested Kevin Wilkin, and the manager has got his man, with Alex agreeing terms that will allow him to call the SEAH Stadium his home for the 2025/26 campaign.
Welcome to the Bucks, Alex!
