With our visit to Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday (8th March) being a reasonably local affair, we anticipate a strong following for the Bucks as we search for more points at a crucial point of the season.
Our hosts have thoughtfully shared a raft of information about car parking at and around the UK Electrical Stadium (Victoria Road). For those travelling independently by car, we recommend reading the information below in advance; you will likely save both time and inconvenience on the day, making it a better match-day experience.
We thank the Rouslers and ask you to follow the advice, which will lessen the impact on them and, just as significantly, the neighbouring residents and businesses nearby.
Council Car Parks
The Stourbridge Road Car Park (entrance from Stourbridge Road, B61 0AB) is where we encourage visiting fans to park, though it can get full for busy matches.
Additional Council car parks are in town on Parkside (on the other side of the traffic lights), Market Street (Asda – pay on foot) and Recreation Road, all within easy walking distance.
School Drive is slightly farther to walk, but more spaces are usually available (B60 1GL).
Pay and display parking is £1 or £1-30 per hour, depending on which car park you use. CCTV is an advantage but beware of the Council’s strict enforcement and regular checks if you want to avoid a fine. Parking is free for up to 30 minutes and after 6:00 p.m.
The rear of Mint Lounge
This is private land, and Bromsgrove Sporting has no responsibility or influence on this site; hence, we ask visitors not to park here.
On-Road Parking
Spaces are sometimes available on Birmingham Road, but parking should be avoided on yellow lines as civil enforcement has recently stepped up. Also, please do not park in front of the houses on the service road at the roadway entrance at the rear car park. Blackmore Lane is accessible for residents and visitors only. Victoria Road is also worth avoiding, but if you do, please do not double-park or block drive entrances.
Parkside Medical Practice (B61 0AE)
The car park is available to members of the public on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and costs just £1 all day. The entrance is on the Stourbridge Road, left just past Bromsgrove Council House.
Bromsgrove Retail Park (Lidl, Pure Gym) and Aldi site
Opposite and next to the Victoria Ground. This is private land, and both sites have time limits, after which they will impose fines. We do not recommend parking here.
Shenstone Close
If you turn onto Burcot Lane at The Crabmill, then immediately right down Shenstone Close, there are a number of spaces at the rear of All Saints Church Hall. Walk down Shenstone Close, then a right turn at Blackmore Lane brings you out at the Hop Pole. This is a bit further to walk but convenient for a quick getaway up the Birmingham Road.
The Artrix/HoW College Car Park
If you are heading up or down the A38, this car park is quite convenient. Access is by the Premier Inn/Brewers Fayre Guild restaurant on Slideslow Drive. Park near the Artrix (postcode B60 1GN), walk down the pathway at the end of School Drive, and you come out at the Hop Pole. This is about 10 minutes from the ground.
However, there are charges, which are displayed on the notice board along with payment methods.
