Harborough Town
Match Review
The Bucks and the Bees played out an attritional goalless draw at the SEAH Stadium on Saturday.
This was, as you might expect, an even affair in which both sides scrapped and battled as they pushed and probed to find a way through. The Bucks saw more of the ball, especially after the break, but Wilkin’s men couldn’t find a way through Harborough’s resolute and well-organised defence, while the Bees looked dangerous on the break and from set plays.
Harborough probably had the best chance of the game, which came after the referee ignored his assistant, who had his flag raised for the ball being out of play. With no whistle forthcoming, the Bees countered and flew up the field, but with Brandon Hall rounded, Harborugh were denied by Orrin Pendley’s superb block.
Both sides will take positives from the game, although both will likely highlight areas for improvement too. The point keeps the Bucks top, although the chasing pack has moved a step closer.
