United are delighted to announce the signing of Max Leonard from Curzon Ashton.
The 23-year-old completed paperwork last night and joins the Bucks as
the squad prepare for Saturday’s trip to FC United Of Manchester.
Max progressed through the youth ranks at Huddersfield Town and signed
for the Curzon Ashton in July 2017. Leonard also experienced spells at Frickley
Athletic and Glossop North End.
season got off to a flying start in August scoring two goals in a 4-0 victory
against North Ferriby United on the opening day of the season. Since then the
23rd year old forward has not been given a regular place in Curzon’s
starting eleven despite scoring 2 goals in 15 appearances.
The former Curzon man spoke of
his delight at joining such a big club “I am really excited to be joining such
a big club as AFC Telford United. I can’t wait to get started now as we prepare
for an important game on Saturday at FC United”
Edwards “Max is a player that I like
a lot. I saw him during pre-season and again when he played against us earlier
in the season with Curzon. He is the type of lad that will fit in well to our
group and will add to the quality we already have in the squad”
Max will join up with the squad
tonight at Lilleshall as the Bucks prepare for Saturday National League North
clash at FC United Of Manchester.
