The final weekend of January with plenty of action to report on. We start our round up with the Under 10 Boys who faced West Hagley Juniors in MJPL league action. It was an all round solid performance from the Bucks as goals from Isaac Bateson and Aaron Garvey gave them victory.
After two successive defeats, the Under 13 Boys were looking to get back to winning ways with a tricky trip to face Solihull Moors. Preston Whinnerah led the way once more with a brace taking him to 30 goals for the season. Carrick Baker also netted as the Bucks ran out 3-1 winners to keep the pressure on the league leaders.
Two sides were in MJPL Cup action last weekend. The Under 14 Boys were edged out by the odd goal in 5 against Sutton Coldfield Town. Jayden Williams and Lewis Ireson netted for the Bucks but a debatable penalty was the difference between the sides as the visitors progressed. It was better fortune for the Under 18 Boys as despite a slow first half they ran out 4-1 winners at home to Red Star. Harry Walker and Jamie Bolderston both netted their first goals of the season with further goals coming from Josef Pratt and David Jones. They face Bugbrooke St. Michael in the next round.
The Under 12 Boys fell to a narrow defeat at home to Darlaston Town whilst the Under 10 Girls couldn’t find that elusive breakthrough against Sutton Coldfield despite dominating the game. The Under 17 Boys travelled to Northampton with the bare 11 which wasn’t enough as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Bugbrooke St Michael. We end our round up with the Under 11 Boys went down to defeat despite a goal from George Cruise away at PS Olympic.

Mother Nature took over the fixture schedule last weekend as only 3 MJPL fixtures survived. We start our round up with the Under 15 Boys who faced Gresley in the next round of the MJPL Trophy. After a slow start it was a comfortable victory for the Bucks running out 7-1 winners. Reece Clayton led the way once more with 5 goals with further goals coming from Maciu Raikoso and Callum Knowles. They now move into the semi finals where they will face Newport Town or Alvis Juniors.
Also in trophy action were the Under 10 Boys who faced Berkswich, a side who previously beat them. It was an all round superb performance from the Bucks as they progressed with a 4-0 win. January player of the month Isaac Bateson grabbed a hat trick with Ryan Wyatt also on the scoresheet.
The big game of the weekend was the Under 18 Boys who face local neighbours Wellington KB United looking to extend their lead at the top of the league. On paper a tricky fixture but the Bucks, were firmly in control from the start. They raced into a two goals lead at the break thanks to Rif Ata and Tom Hughes. David Jones then had his say in the second half hat trick. Despite a consolation, the Bucks made it 15 League wins on the bounce with a 5-1 victory.
