2. Trust Board Meetings

Q: How often do the Trust Board Meet?

A: The Trust Board meet as a minimum on a monthly basis. At this meeting a variety of items are considered and there are representatives from the Club Board who report to the Trust Board about operational developments – both on and off the pitch. Members of the Trust Board are also represented at the Club Board meetings. This helps keep communication fluid between the two boards and provides challenge where appropriate.  In addition, both Boards meet together as the Club Improvement Team approximately every three months to review progress against business targets and to shape future goals and developments. Trust Board members also have work streams related to their prescribed roles and attend/chair meetings relevant to their role. In future editions of this Q&A section and elsewhere on the site we will feature the work of individual Trust Board Members so that you know what is being done by individual Trustees as well as the whole of the Trust Board on your behalf and in your name.


Q: I am a Trust Member and therefore have some ownership of the club, but I don’t feel like I have a say in things – what can I do about this?

A: The Trust board welcome member attendance at the beginning of the monthly Board Meetings where matters related to the running of the club can be raised. Football debates are usually reserved for the fans forums but business matters can be used to create future agenda items. There is also a dedicated email address for membership enquiries where issues can be raised – membership@telfordutd.co.uk . All Trust Board representatives are supporters of the club – this is what brought them to the Trust Board to start with. All are about on match days and would be happy to hear your feedback – of course we can’t always share information which may be at a sensitive stage but we can hear your thoughts and discuss any queries as soon as it is practicable to do so.
