AFC Telford United have completed
the loan signing of goalkeeper Josef Bursik from Stoke City.
The 18-year-old is currently the starting goalkeeper for the England
under-19s and has impressed in recent fixtures for his country.
Bursik joins the Bucks until the end of the season having spent the first
half of the season on loan with Hednesford Town in the Northern Premier League
Premier Division, playing over 20 games and earning rave reviews.
The tall shot stopper was last season a part of the first team set-up for
City after joining them in the summer of 2017 from AFC Wimbledon – with whom he
had been with since the age of nine.
His performances in the Under 23s earned Bursik a call up to the England
Under 18 squad in March – this follows an appearance in the Under 17 European
Championships for his country last summer.
