Bucks boss Gavin Cowan
has expressed his disappointment
following the FA's decision not to rescind the red card issued to Ellis Deeney
following last Saturday 1-1 draw at Chorley
The midfielder was dismissed during the second half
of last weekend’s clash at Victoria Park by referee Barry Lamb for an alleged
stamp on Chorley’s Adam Blakeman.
The Bucks subsequently appealed the decision, but
an FA Regulatory Commission rejected the claim and Deeney will now miss the
next three National League North fixtures.
Cowan spoke of his disappointment “To say we are disappointed
with the decision is an understatement. Given the evidence, visual and the
statement from the Chorley player, I am at a loss as to how they have not reversed
the decision. Is it even worth having an
appeal system if strong cases such as ours don’t eve get a look in. We are fortunate
to have a strong group so the injustice will only make us stronger”
The Bucks will host Curzon Ashton at the New Bucks Head
tomorrow afternoon, 3pm KO.
